His historical investments include Mimecast (IPO), Folhamatic ($300m exit), Despegar (IPO), DivX Networks (IPO), Hitwise ($240m exit), and Exact Target (IPO). Total exit value of his investments exceeds $5 billion.
I got a lucky break coming out of college, when I got a job working as an analyst at Insight Venture Partners. I had learned about VC when I took classes at MIT Sloan while in college. I loved the work as a VC at Insight, and I chose to make my career as a venture investors.
We prioritize a wide range of characteristics, but the most important are purity of motivation, unique insight, first principles thinking, the founders' ability to work well together, and desire to stay the course.
